I could see this book being quite helpful for someone who performs weddings for people of all backgrounds. Engle does a good job of compiling a dozen or more wedding services from different religions and even includes a non-denominational one.
There are suggestions for bible verses to read from, music to be played, and even a chart of where everyone should stand. If you're getting married or performing marriages, go get yourself a copy of this book. You made agree with this sentiment. In any case thousands of couples get married every day, and most couples decide to have a God-honoring wedding ceremony led by a minister of the Gospel.
Yet many of these couples go to churches in denominational traditions with liturgies specific for marriage ceremonies, but many other couples attend churches which fall with into the category of non denominational or even interdenominational and therefore have no set with a liturgy.
